ARLINGTON, Virginia—The U.S. resort business reported detrimental year-over-year comparisons, based on CoStar’s latest data by way of Aug. 23.

U.S. Lodge Efficiency
August 17-August 23, 2025
Share change from comparable week in 2024
Occupancy: 65.4 % (down 1.1 %)
ADR: $155.09 (down 0.2 %)
RevPAR: $101.38 (down 1.3 %)

Among the many Prime 25 Markets, Houston recorded the steepest declines in occupancy (down 29.3 % to 53.7 %) and RevPAR (down 38.1 % to $58.43). The decreases are largely as a result of elevated displacement demand interval that adopted Hurricane Beryl in 2024.

Chicago reported the most important drop in ADR (down 22.3 % to $167.40) and the second-steepest lower in RevPAR (down 19.9 % to $125.14), resulting from a comparability towards the Democratic Nationwide Conference in 2024.
