U.S. Hotel Industry Continues to Report Negative Yearly Comparisons — LODGING

ARLINGTON, Virginia—The U.S. lodge trade reported destructive year-over-year comparisons, based on CoStar’s latest data by Sept. 27.

U.S. Lodge Efficiency
September 21-September 27, 2025
Share change from comparable week in 2024
Occupancy: 65.6 % (down 4.2 %)
ADR: $166.48 (down 2.5 %)
RevPAR: $109.15 (down 6.6 %)

Among the many prime 25 markets, Las Vegas reported the biggest declines in every of the three key efficiency metrics: occupancy (down 23.0 % to 66.1 %), ADR (down 20.1 % to $195.31), and RevPAR (down 38.5 % to $129.04).

New Orleans reported the second-steepest efficiency declines: occupancy (down 21.1 % to 48.4 %), ADR (down 14.9 % to $131.54), and RevPAR (down 32.8 % to $63.65).

General, 21 of the highest 25 markets reported an occupancy decline.
